Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection, Completes Property-Wide Refresh and Debuts Its First Luxury Residence, Hawk Eye

Offering unmatched views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Dan River Gorge, Hawk Eye’s breathtaking location and world-class amenities redefine luxury mountain living.

Meadows of Dan, VA, (October 15, 2024) – Today Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection debuts its first luxury residence, Hawk Eye —a stunning six-bedroom mountaintop estate, signaling the resort’s foray into residential style accommodations. With the opening of Hawk Eye for guest stays, the resort has completed its recent enhancement, introducing redesigned public spaces, refreshed guestrooms in the Lodge and Fairway Cottages, a new signature restaurant, Leatherflower, as well as two brand new Mountain Top Tree House Suites overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Boasting the most enviable vantage point on the resort’s 12,000 private acres, Hawk Eye captivates guests with dramatic 27-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the sweeping mountain views unique to Southern Appalachia. A serene and completely private enclave, the estate features a sprawling four-bedroom primary residence spread across 3,697 square feet including a spacious living room and gourmet kitchen; a two-bedroom 1,210-square-foot guest house; and a standalone games cottage outfitted with vintage arcade games, a pool table, private bocce court and more. The residence’s exterior features include a private heated pool, two hot tubs and a fire pit, all set against the majestic views of the mountain landscape.

“We are thrilled to debut Hawk Eye as the final layer to the incredible property-wide enhancement project at Primland,” noted Will Rentschler, General Manager of Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection. “Our first luxury residence provides us with a new opportunity to deliver an exceptional experience to families and groups seeking a sophisticated private estate with access to the resort’s many amenities and back-to-nature outdoor experiences that they know and love.”

The custom interiors by Chad Dorsey Design intrinsically harmonize with nature, offering rich hues among custom furnishings, antiques and finishes inspired by the surrounding mountains and the natural palette of the Virginia landscape. From deep purples and blues reminiscent of the sunsets to touches of green evoking the lush woods that embrace the estate, design elements seamlessly blend indoor luxury with the outdoors, including works from renowned French ceramicist Roger Capron, whose botanical-inspired coffee table overlooks the valley below.

Hawk Eye serves as the ultimate retreat for families and groups seeking a balance of outdoor adventures and sophisticated amenities. Guests of the luxury residence can enjoy a complimentary private hike led by the property’s on-site naturalist as well as the option to further customize their stay with RTV adventures departing from their doorstep, immersive culinary experiences with a private chef, in-residence spa treatments and fitness classes, kitchen and pantry stocking, and more.

Part of a property-wide enhancement, Hawk Eye signals the completion of Primland’s significant redesign effort that champions back-to-nature luxury and sensibility in the Southeast. The resort’s main building, the Lodge, boasts refreshed gathering spaces and guest rooms, including a reimagined two-story Great Hall with two fireplaces and breathtaking views of the Highland Course’s rolling fairways and the Pinnacles of Dan. Located in the Lodge, guests are invited to discover Leatherflower, the resort’s newest farm-to-table restaurant that embodies the best of Virginia’s culinary scene with a design that conveys the whimsical spirit of the South. Finally, the completion of two new Mountain Top Tree Houses offer further luxury suite accommodations for the resort’s guests to choose from. Built into the trees and perched above the Dan River Gorge, the new Tree House suites overlook the Kibler Valley with sprawling views of the breathtaking vistas and abundant wildlife surrounds.

The starting rate for Hawk Eye is $8,000 per night, and the residence is available for bookings year-round by calling 844.571.9863 or visiting auberge-beta.kingandpartners.com/primland.
