From lofty suites and treehouses to mountain homes at one with nature
Consummately private, elegantly appointed and all with exceptional views, Primland’s varied accommodation options reflect the 12,000-acre estate’s abundance of space. From the upper floors of the Lodge – with its fine-dining restaurant, serene spa and observatory tower – luxurious rooms and suites overlook the golf course and the Blue Ridge Mountains rolling to the horizon. Or choose a suite in the Pinnacle or Fairway, ideal for booking multiple neighboring accommodations when traveling with family or friends. Quite possibly the most romantic spaces on the property are the designer Tree Houses, perched on the lip of the Dan River Gorge. And then there are the rustic Mountain Homes, accommodating from two to 22 guests in the utmost secluded, back-to-nature comfort.

Perched in the treetops high above the Dan River Gorge, Primland’s 12,000 thickly wooded acres are home to intimate Tree Houses with sweeping views from Roaring Creek to Pilot Mountain, and down Kibler Valley. Designed in France by renowned treehouse architectural firm La Cabane Perchee – and built of aromatic red cedar – the 440-square-foot Tree Houses with expansive decks feel utterly remote, being at an elevation of 2,700 feet. Guests access the lofty accommodations, which suit up to two adults, by a wooden bridge. Inside, a neutral palette and oversized windows are meant to direct all attention outdoors. Tree House guests also receive a complimentary daily continental breakfast delivered to their door and a self-guided wine-tasting experience in partnership with Flowers Vineyards and Winery. A signature Primland experience a short drive from the Lodge, staying in the Tree Houses offers all the freedom of a bird on the wing, and all the cosseting luxury of the most finely feathered nest.
