We chose the Vanderbilt to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. The hotel and facilities are beautiful and ideally located to explore Newport. The staff were exceptional, starting with their help preplanning, including several calls to follow up on our request to and secure dinner reservations and spa treatments. The Vanderbilt underwent renovation since our last trip of a year ago and it is stunning. The staff all knew we were celebrating our anniversary and recognized this during each interaction with staff. Breakfast in the observatory (a sun filled dining area) was delicious and a great way to start the day. The main dining room and bar is a great space. We stopped in the bar for a cocktail and bites after a day of walking and exploring, I highly recommend this late afternoon stop. We will continue to recommend the Vanderbilt for a great getaway.
