Day 1

2:00 PM | Wetlands Pit Stop

Break up the drive by stopping at San Pablo Bay Wildlife Refuge to stretch your legs and marvel over the vast wetlands.

4:00 PM | Arrival

Enjoy a welcome drink: lavender lemonade for the kids or a glass of wine for the parents.

6:00 PM | Dinner at Bear

For your first night, take it easy and make a reservation at Bear. Order a comforting burger and beer, and ask for our Little Ranchers menu for the little ones (children ages 10 and younger dine complimentary).

Day 2

9:00 AM | Private Pool Cabana

Head straight to the pool for a fun-filled morning together in a private cabana. Splash around in our spectacular Lavender pool, or soak in a hot tub while keeping an eye on the little ones in the kiddie pool. Play lawn games and enjoy lunch from Basin Bar without ever having to leave your cool cabana.

10:00 AM | Budding Photographers

Drop your kids off at Vintage Photography while you enjoy a few hours alone. In this interactive class, Laura will teach kids about landscape photography as they explore Stanly with Polaroid cameras. Bring the snapshots home for the perfect keepsake. | Ages 6+

3:30 PM | Restore at Halehouse

Indulge in therapeutic bodywork, re-energize with a performance-based movement class, then refresh with an elixir.

6:00 PM | Night on the Town

Do as the locals do and head out to Sonoma Square for the Tuesday Night Market with live music and food trucks.

Day 3

8:00 AM | Breakfast at Gavel + Wildflower Walk

Stop by Gavel to grab coffee and pastries (the lavender croissants are a must). Enjoy a self-guided walk through the property to learn about the area’s wildflowers, while the kids will thrill over a scavenger hunt and coloring book.

10:00 AM | Horseback Ride + Picnic Lunch

Live like a Sonoma local and enjoy an hour-long trail ride. Finish with a picnic lunch in Bartholomew Park.

2:00 PM | Ride the Railroad

After an easygoing ride and picnic, treat the kids to a visit to Sonoma's TrainTown, situated just one mile south of the Plaza. Ride the famed quarter-scale railroad through tunnels and over bridges, making sure to stop at the miniature town and petting zoo.

5:00 PM | Dinner at Bear

After your adventurous day, enjoy an easy dinner prepared with farm-fresh Napa Valley produce at Bear. Ask for our Little Ranchers menu for the kids (children ages 10 and younger dine complimentary).

Day 4

7:00 AM | Napa River Fishing

Wake up early for an adventure on the water. Enjoy breakfast on the boat, while a local fishing guide charters you out on the Napa River to explore the delta's wildlife. Learn the basics of fly fishing and try your hand at landing a big one.

12:30 PM | Painting + Picnic on Infinity Hill

Back at Stanly, take one of our painting kits and a picnic and head up to one of the most scenic locations on the property. After a leisurely lunch, the kids can enjoy painting en plein air while you soak in 360-degree views of Napa, the delta and beyond.

2:30 PM | Family-Friendly Wine Tasting

Craft your custom wine tasting with the help of one of our Itinerary Designers who will be able to recommend family-friendly local wineries while taking your preferences and palates into account. If staying put sounds more your speed, enjoy vineyard views from your private patio and space for the kids to play, all while discovering hidden gem wines during a curated wine tasting brought to you.

5:00 PM | Dinner at Lou's Luncheonette

Head to this casual hangout, less than 10 minutes from Stanly, for the best fried chicken in Sonoma. There's table tennis and a great wine list for parents and Tonka trucks and cornhole for the little ones.

Day 5

9:00 AM | Hike Westwood Hills Park

Hike to the top of the 106-acre Westwood Hills Park for the best views in Napa Valley. Take a seasonal class such as Junior Audubon or Nature Explorers, check out the stunning dioramas at the Carolyn Parr Nature Museum and end your visit with a spin on the tree swing.

12:00 PM | Picnic in the Park

Pick up provisions at the nearby Browns Valley Market, one of the best delis in town, for a laid-back family picnic. Tip: Make an extra stop at Connolly Ranch and discover their organic gardens and petting zoo.

3:00 PM | Art Walk

Take in Rail Arts District Napa (RAD Napa) and its striking murals from selected global artists during a two-mile art walk that follows the Napa Valley Vine Trail and the Napa Valley Wine Train tracks. Afterwards, grab dinner from one of Oxbow Market’s many restaurants.

6:30 PM | Private Falconry Lesson

After an adventurous day in Napa, enjoy a private falconry lesson at Stanly with a stunning sunset as your backdrop. You will get the opportunity to hold our resident falcon, hawk and owl, while our falconer Rebecca teaches you all about birds of prey.

Day 6

8:00 AM | Brunch at Bear

Savor wine country brunch favorites at Bear including Dungeness crab benedicts and chilaquiles with blue corn tortilla chips.

10:00 AM | Fun at Charlie's Acres

Drop the kids off at Charlie's Acres, a farm animal sanctuary and our composting partner right down the road, for fun feeding and bonding with goats, sheep and cows, making crafts and much more, while you go wine tasting.

1:00 PM | Hit the Pool

After picking the kids up, head to our Lavender and kiddie pools for a splash and play, followed by lawn games such as horseshoes and Jenga. Order lunch from Basin Bar, and don’t forget to choose one of Chef Harry’s favorite seasonal ice cream flavors.

4:00 PM | Live Music + Bites from The Window

End the afternoon with live music, cornhole and casual bites from The Window. The menu changes every weekend and focuses on crowd-pleasers like Mexican-style street corn and classic Nashville fried chicken.

Day 7

7:30 AM | Head Out to the Coast

Pack sunscreen and towels and head out towards Shell Beach and Point Reyes Station, just under an hour from Stanly, for a half-day at the beach.

9:00 AM | Beach Fun

Stop at Bovine Bakery in Point Reyes Station for stellar pizza, charcuterie and some of the best baked goods in Northern California. Fill up your picnic basket, then head to the most family-friendly beach on the coast to play in its calm, warm waters.

2:00 PM | Oysters + Ice Cream

No trip to the coast is complete without fresh oysters. After your beach day, head to the Marshall Store for Tomales Bay Oyster Company bivalves served every which way (raw, grilled, smoked and more) along with kid-friendly sandwiches and tacos.

6:00 PM | Dinner at Bear

After your long, fun-filled day, enjoy an easy dinner at Bear prepared with the freshest ingredients from our onsite garden and community farms. Ask for our Little Ranchers menu for the kids (children ages 10 and younger dine complimentary).
