Learn about the art of pottery with Dumais Made

The Experience

Join artist and potter Charlie Dumais, co-founder of Dumais Made, for an immersive experience in his Litchfield studio. Upon arrival, you will receive a tour of the studio, which is a former carriage shop and light switch factory that is light-filled and spacious, and receive a complimentary beverage. You will then select your choice of vase to create. Gather around the work table, where pre-cut slabs of clay await, and learn as Charlie Dumais gives a step-by-step lesson on the art of texturing, scoring and building a vase. Once assembled, select your desired glaze for the piece, which will be applied by the artist after your piece is fired. You will leave with a one-of-a-kind experience, a hand-drawn sketch of your vase and a tile sample of your selected glaze. After your piece has been fired and glazed, Dumais Made will send your vase directly to your doorstep.
