About Chef David Levi
David Levi is the former chef and owner of Vinland restaurant, the world's first and only 100% local-food restaurant. Vinland was awarded a maximum five star rating by the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram while being lauded by The Financial Times of London as "the restaurant Portland needed to crystallize its gastronomic ambitions once and for all." Prior to opening Vinland, David worked with some of the most revered chefs in the world, including Rene Redzepi, Dario Cecchini, and Magnus Nilsson. Vinland closed with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and David has since focused on his two young children and his private tutoring business.
