Aerial Escapes by Ultralight

Our introductory flight, this incredible debut into the wonders of ultralight flying will take you over the varied landscape of our valley. Aerial views of coffee, pineapple and sugarcane plantations, as well as incredible vistas of the mountains and hidden waterfalls will keep you intrigued and leave you wanting more.

An extended tour, this one-hour flight will take you all the way to the Pacific Coast and back, uncovering the incredible natural diversity that Costa Rica has to offer. Fly over the Fila Brunqueña towards Uvita. Feel the change in the air to the tropical humid climate as you float over canals, possibly spotting crocodiles and lapas before hitting the Pacific Ocean. Hover over the beach and head out over the open ocean, keeping your eyes peeled for turtles, dolphins and even whales, depending on the season. Fly over the famous “Whale’s Tail” and head back over the lush green mountains, with their hidden treasures of cascading waterfalls, before arriving at the hacienda.

For adventurous spirits looking to explore even more of what Costa Rica has to offer, this 90 minute tour will introduce you to a plethora of nature, wildlife and unforgettable views as you head over the Central Valley, down to Sierpe and the Osa Peninsula and back along the Pacific coastline. Enjoy the mountainous landscapes as you take a peek into the local agricultural lifestyle of the Central Valley, pineapple, coffee and sugarcane plantations sprawling out below you. Head over the rolling green hills and watch as the mountains slowly flatten out towards the coastal plains. Fly over the network of canals that define Sierpe, with its range of flora and fauna, which differs greatly from the species you find within Costa Rica’s interior. Fly back along the coast, viewing the beaches and ocean from above. As you head back to the hacienda, you’ll fly over the Fila Brunqueña and spot hidden and well-known waterfalls before landing back at AltaGracia.
